Regardless of how you measure the “priority of life” or face and overcome your “fears,” or choose to recognize beauty or greatness in others, your ability to be a Fearless Leader, to sharpen your focus and reclaim your confidence in any situation is the key to finding success in your own life right now.
In our many years of professional coaching, as executives in our own right, as parents or in support of the many professionals we have supported throughout our careers – one thing is consistent – there is a growing need for more courage and even greater confidence in an ever-growing VUCA environment.
You may recall that in a recent blog, I wrote about how some strategic, fearless leaders assess risk situations, deeming the mindsets of people (intangibles), their stress level, tenacity and what they might be afraid of. Then they ask what these potential consequences could mean for them. It’s what is called VUCA, which I’ll list again to refresh your memory:
- V (volatile)
- U (uncertain)
- C (chaotic)
- A (ambiguous)
These VUCA environments create learning opportunities, where these professionals practice scenarios, repeatedly looking for risks and the qualifiers for those risks.
An environment of perpetual change, challenges and personal growth. By following the steps in this series of blogs we know you will grow one step at a time and during that journey you will learn and become better and better as a leader, a team player, in your relationships or as a parent.
Have you taken these steps to heart? I hope so. Thanks for sharing.
